First chartered by the Grand Lodge of Tennessee in 1835, Washington Lodge No. 1 has a long standing history in Fayetteville. After Arkansas gained its statehood in 1836, the Grand Lodge of Arkansas was formed and the first charter was granted to our lodge. Washington Lodge No. 1 is the oldest lodge in Arkansas and at one time the most westwardly lodge in the United States. Standing with the long tradition and history, our members continue to be among the pillars of the community and exemplify leadership through service.
